I look forward to seeing Cawley. Didn't catch him or Jeff Quinn the first four times through. Nor did I catch Randy Pausch.

I am not a big fan of ST09 but Mr.Abrams, besides being a great moviemaker, seems to be a really nice guy and Mr.Cawley could at least have been a bit less outspoken about NuTrek after Abrams was so generous and offered him a small appearance in the flick.

If someone does you a favour, you are supposed to do the same and if he really was so annoyed by NuTrek, he could have simply declined the cameo offer. It is a bit hypocritical IMO.

Horatio quoting ODB just totally made my day.

Kind of strange that Kirk immediately thought about the Kelvin when he heard the news about "a lightning storm in space" while Pike who wrote his doctor thesis about the Kelvin did not.
Obviously because........
BIG, BIG, BIG REVELATION!!

I have the same view of Cawley over that little incident.

Pike's mind was on Vulcan, and he probably hadn't dealt with it for a while.

Kirk, on the other hand, was recently at the Academy.
