And within 0.05 seconds of this news hitting the internet, message boards were flooded by posters simultaneously asking "Why are we wasting money doing this silly stuff? We have problems here on Earth that need fixing first. Impeach Obama!"

If the most powerful man in the world would be as powerful as some people imagine, there would be something wrong with America's democracy.

The mirror side of this are people who complain about the virtual irrelevance of their vote at election day. Wouldn't be a democracy either if every halfwit could change the course of the world. We tried it over here with an import from Austria over seventy years ago, didn't turn out so well.
