There's an old saying, If it's not unimaginative, don't re imagine it.

The secondary hull needs more windows and to lose that vertical strip up the side, restore the 'L' shape nacelles (well, maybe not) and that would help that part of the ship.

Admittedly not as nice as the original - however, I'm tempted to put it before the 'flared' ENT-B modifications.

Somehow, I knew you were going to say that.

Have to say I agree. It looks like the abramsprise going as an Excelsior on halloween.

Nice bits and pieces...but put 'em all together, not so nice.

your gonna love me for this

honestly the first time i saw the old excelsior in star trek III I thought it was ****ing hideous.

and tbh the Enterprise-b wasnt bad, she made me kinda like the excelsior refit, but not the original

to me, this design is what i think the old excelsior should look like, decent and doesnt make me puke at first sight of it

the old excelsior looks like someones bastard child that should have been shot on the ****ing delivery table.

and sorry for curisng but that old design...just amplifies my hidden male rage

i better get checked, i might be of klingon decent.......

I'll take the Abramsprise over this. Besides the nacelle pylons there's something about it that's just rubbing me the wrong way though I can't put my finger on it.

I think it has the wrong style saucer - instead of that domed saucer and flat underside, it's flat on both sides and looks just like a revised Constitution saucer.

I also have a feeling the saucer on that is smaller than it should be.

Actually just saw more images over at the 'other' forum and it is actually pig ugly.

Whomever designed it had a real off day that they should probably just forget they had and start again with.
