Ok we've been avoiding this little stoush since the forum started. But now my friends i think we know each other well enough to engage like gentlemen and or ladies.

I love Kirk, he's my favorite Captain, but Picard has so much more experience, wisdom, and a fair share of more advanced technology. Picard is just superior.
Although Kirk is all tough and beat-em-up, Picard is a thinker, and a master tactitian. He'll wait for Kirk to wear himself out, then blow him to bits.

It probably wasn't deliberate but if it were it would make sense that it came from someone in the Picard camp

He didn't allways have to mess around with every woman he came in contact with. He could talk hiw way out most situations, and not have to blow everything to bits.

He never had to make a computer go nuts, rip his shirt every other episode, take his entire senior staff down to the most dangerous plante in the universe, ect ect.
