My favourite Trek movies are First Contact and The Undiscovered Country, perhaps not at least because of the high contrasts: both are fairly dark yet bright at the end, Kirk and Picard are human beings who mess up but change themselves before it is too late.

My choice varies a lot with my mood, but it's always between WOK, TUC and FC... if forced to make a choice, I'd say First Contact.

I'll actually take Star Trek III. It gave Shatner and Kelley lots of screen time and I like how it has a major climax with the Enterprise, the fight, Genesis blows up and back to Vulcan again for Nimoy's rebirth as Spock. What more could we have asked for.

In a way, it came the closet to a TOS episode that any of the films ever did. I can see that.
