Saw the teaser trailer for Star Trek into Darkness, all I can say is awesome

The teaser is...................good. It's very good.

But it does shift us back right around to Khan if you ask me. But in a totally different way.

To me it does as I consider their relationship to be pretty well done. But the presumable core of the story, Spock and Kirk maturing? Nah.

It was well-handled, but contributed little. As a part of Spock's side of the story, it does contribute a little; and Spock's side of the story was the good bit.

Kirk did not mature, he learned that one must always cheat.

Sure, it didn't contribute anything to the plot but why should it have to?
Little in life contributes to what you might consider the plot of your life, most of it is random and arbitrary and can not even be narrativized and woven into a story in hindsight.

Back to the relationship, to me it felt mature and realistic.

I am not a fan of binary logic (this totally rocks/sucks) and criticism should never abandon honesty. I don't like the path we are on but if there is a beautiful flower on the side I enjoy it and point it out.
