As some of you may already know, the folks at ILM have had an ongoing bit of fun with the films they have worked on since Star Wars, Close Encounters, etc. They like to put an R2-D2 easter egg somewhere in the film to see if it is spotted.

Apparently, the new Star Trek film is no different! It was ILM (damn good job yooz guys!) that did the effects, so there is an R2-D2 easter egg. Check out the link below for a Sweepstakes involving the crossover of everyone's favorite trashcan to the Trek universe!

So looking back on this old thread, can we presume that Paramount runs the ST Facebook page?

They've been making comments about the coming revised

Will the Facebook page still be running when the new goes online supposedly next week, or will Paramount transfer the page over to CBS Consumer Products, who will be running the new site?

There's STILL been no open announcement at about the impending changes...

I don't do myspace or facebook - doesn't matter to me who runs it. Won't be using it anyway.
