I certainly hope it doesn't re-ignite Roddenberry's "no conflict" rule among the main characters.

I want it to do well such that it inspires new material, most preferrably a post-Nemesis movie or series but also increased production of novels and games would be nice, perhaps some official distribution support for New Voyages...a resurgence in the franchise essentially, prove that Trek does not need any kind of further break. Ideally a return to the glory days of DS9 and Voyager both on TV and movies in production in terms of new content being produced would be ideal.

I would like the new movie to put Star Trek back on track, at some point go back to the TNG/DS9/VOY timeline, and keep a creative team that cares, not a team that just puts the series on Auto Pilot.

What am I hoping the film will accomplish? A successful reset of the entire franchise, and a freakishly new, large fan base.
