The episode where Levar Burton went behind the scenes of the TNG set and showed us how they did the FX. That hooked me. I would watch that episode over and over and over. That determined my destiny to work in film/tv.

I used to watch that when I was younger, though I didn't get a chance to see the TNG related ep until a few years ago when my youngest brother was watching it.

I watched that show all the time as a kid. I loved it, and we would watch it at school as well.
I remember after watching a show, I would go find one of the books they had talked about at out school library and read it. Lavar did that show for a very long time, I think until just a few years ago. |

I loved Reading Rainbow when I was a kid. A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I were keeping my neice for a few days after she'd had surgery. She's 8, and we were getting her ready for school. She was watching PBS while eating breakfast, and "Reading Rainbow" was on. The first thing she hollered out when she saw Levar Burton, was "Reading Rainbow's on!". Even if she doesn't know a lot about Star Trek, I am thrilled that she loves to read, and that she loves that same show I was hooked on when I was a kid.

Whoa, I used to watch that everyday when I was eight or so. I barely remember any of it now though.

Heh. I loved watching it. Thanks to that show I got hooked on reading, even if I don't get to do it a lot anymore. Was already a Star Trek Fan.
Oh I remember the Thursday's in second grade were we got to watch an episode.
