I've always wondered if Star Trek could pull off a tv mini-series... Something over the war would be interesting.

I hope there will never be a war movie using "Star Trek" in the title!

(by the way Dave, I don't have your chocolate )

I would love to see a miniseries about it. I guess I'll be contented if it's covered in the Enterprise relaunch books.

Apart from the Dominion War, I can't think of any other major conflicts covered in a series. The Earth-Romulan war was the start of a 'new era' - it included the setting up of the Federation. Also it was a lot different from the Dominion War - tech wasn't as good, neither side 'saw' what the other side looked like, they contacted each other via subspace radio. I just hope that in the new film they recount a little about this war and keep the Romulans and Humans/Starfleet people from seeing each other face to face - it would 'break' the canon.

I've always said Paramount should continue Enterprise down the made for DVD route. Stargate SG1 and Babylon 5 are having some moderate success with that. Sure, you wouldn't get feature-film quality CG but a script could be fashioned to accomodate that. Scott Bakula and Jolene Blalock are certainly no strangers to this kind of production. One did a Tom Clancy action flick and the other a Starship Troopers sequel. The Romulan War, like Enterprise's final season has wider appeal among the fanbase and could easily break even.
