Maybe it should just be Spock on the bridge, who raises one eyebrow, and mutters to himself, "Lemon curry?" Then a gong sounds and a voice says, "Start again!" Then a strangely dressed clown leans in from the side of the frame, and waves to the audiance...
Or maybe Spiny Norman could pop up, and call, "Dimsdale?" (dressed in a starfleet uniform, of course.)
