Default Some stuff I've built...

I work, as a hobby, with a local children's theatre group. Over the last few years, I built a few things you guys might find interesting, so I thought I'd share...

The shuttle was from a play about a kid who invents a machine that allows him to pull characters and objects out of any book he puts into it. Unfortunately, a set of villians escape and are trying to take over the world! Just when things seem at their darkest, the calvary arrives in the form of this Trek-ish shuttle, flying down from above. (The kids went nuts when this landed on stage LOL)

The second photo was for another play which took place in London in the 1950's. It was part of a much larger street setting, but I decided to keep it, and take it around to cons as a photo op.

What sorts of props and "things" have you guys made for your costumes, fan films, and the like?

Yeah, there were inside jokes all over that shuttle... including a small notice on the control panel telling people: CAUTION: THIS NOTICE IS WRITTEN IN EXTREMELY SMALL FONT. SERIOUS EYE STRAIN MAY RESULT. DO NOT READ THIS MESSAGE! and there was also a "Made in China for Johnny Lightining" printed on the upstage nacelle, (out of view of the audiance)

Seriously. I tried to use a drill once and, well, it just didn't work out for anyone.
