Well, not to spoil everyone's fictional fun... but what the OP is talking about actually takes place relatavistically at c (the speed of light) It's the basis for what is known as "the single electron" theory. That is, that there is only one electron in the entire universe, and, because it travels at the speed of light, (with minor fluctuations) we see an infinite number of electrons because it's passing itself back and forth in time, populating all of space with copies of itself at different points in it's existence.
