Interested in some trivia?
I saw "White Fang" from 1991 a few days ago and guess what music theme one can hear in the beginning? Now I know why the whole Enterprise soundtrack allways sounded so Disney in my ears - because it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEYBn92LwpM However, the vid is pretty okay, I think. Wow, actually, that was really cool. I liked how it had the "actor as..." like in the original series, TNG, and Voyager. Homage to those great series that came before.

Wow that enterprise opening was kickin! THAT's what it should have been like. I mean the song with the lyrics was cool but it was not in Star Trek style. That youtube vid on the other hand...wow!

I can honestly say I prefer that sequence to what we got. I have, and always will, loathe the "theme song".
