I say make offers to members whose behaviour show good character and perhaps be wary of those too quick to volunteer. No offense to those that have, they're just as likely to be stellar candidates but there's bound to be a couple in there with an ax to grind, agenda, or ego. It's tricky stuff, moderator selection.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'm having a hard time with the spoiler tags. I type the spoiler and highlight it, click on the black box and hit ok. But the spoiler won't show up. So I try it again and highlight, copy it and paste it in the box after clicking the black box. But then the spoiler shows up outside the spoiler box so I have to hit edit and erase the spoiler inside the quote marks in the spoiler code and then it shows up correctly.

that's just crazy!

Just tested it, it works... the part you highlighted will be invisible until you click the button. The bigger part that is visible next to the button is what you type in at the box when using the black icon.

You're doing it mostly right. You type the spoiler, highlight it and click on the black box - so far so good- but when you click on the black box, type something INSIDE the window that pops up like "this is a spoiler" or "Spoiler about such & such" then click OK.

What you type in the black box is what people will read to see it's a spoiler.
