Zardoz, I agree. In particular, I'd love to see a series set aboard the USS STARGAZER with Captain Picard and Jack Crusher. We'd also get to see Dr. Crusher in some cameo episodes, like Lwaxana Troi, visiting Jack on some business every once and a while. And have an episode where Jack dies, and have the spirit of it be like when Spock dies in TWOK. And then have the rest of that Season depict how the crew copes with that loss, and how Picard brings Jack's body home. It can include the other crew members, like Walker Keel (see "Conspiracy"), and even have the finale depict when Picard uses his manuever to destroy the Ferengi ship, and have the last scenes of the episode show him and Tasha seeing the Enterprise-D for the first time.

The cast would be tough, but I don't think bringing Patrick Stewart in to do a twenty-plus year younger version of himself would be fitting. And in any case, my ideas for the cast may not be well received.

Hmm I have mixed emtions about that. Not that it's bad, just that we need a fresh crew and maybe an Ambassador class ship?

I would say that season 2's Manhunt may qualify as one of those ...so funny.
