Default "Probe One to Probe Control, this is Lockwood"

The summer movie was called "Probe" and in 1972 it became a short-lived NBC series "Search" both starring Hugh O'Brian.

Here's the opening of the pilot movie:

And, the series also starring O'Brian and featuring Doug McClure and Tony Francisa:

Any one remember this?

Oh, absolutely, Gary! Used to watch it regularly, while it lasted.

I dig these trips down TV memory lane, thanks.

Default Another trip down "Memory Lane"

The Champions.

While this UK product aired in 1968, it became known in the USA during the early 70's.

I've only heard of that one, from another TREK fan just recently as it happens.

Btw, any of you remember the 70s series Quark?

Sort of a pre-Galaxy Quest satire of TREK in a way, but very short-lived.

The interesting thing about Search/Probe is, that at the time we all thought that tech like that was just pure science fiction. Now of course, much of it looks a little quaint...

I remember all the shows and movies, but my favorite was Space: 1999. The second season wasn't so good but Maya was easy on the eyes. I'm guessing no one remembers "The Man from Atlantis"?
