This thread's going to be merged shortly with the "Will Kirk's shirt get ripped?" thread from awhile back. But to answer your question, yeah, most of us think it would be nostalgic, true to canon, and appropriate.

I do have to say, I searched back 3 pages and couldn't find it....I forgot that the word used was "ripped" so my "torn" search yielded nothing...
