Default April 15, 2014, total lunar eclipse

It's called a blood moon, for its coppery red color, and is one of four total lunar eclipses that will be visible over North America this year.

CNN: 'Blood moon' will be a sight to behold during total lunar eclipse

It's looking like a bust here, too much cloud cover. I can't see the moon at all. I may try again in a little bit but I am not hopeful.

Moon has been ultra bright down here in OZ. Brighter than a Street light and just annoying!

Tried again, it's just not in the cards. It's just too cloudy to see anything. Probably God punishing me for that devil worshiping crack!

That's pretty cool looking. I wish I could have seen it.

A couple of years ago it happened almost directly overhead and looked like a large balloon about 2,000 feet up. I called my wife to come out and look, not telling her what it was, and it took her a minute to realize it was the moon. It was dark orange at that time.

The one yesterday happened when the moon was just above the horizon in my area, blocked from view by buildings, and I didn't have a helicopter handy.
