I'd just like to go on record as saying that of all the Treks I've watched on television, if there were any turkeys, I mostly found them in TOS...but even those are enjoyable to some degree.

Overall, I have yet to find a Trek episode of any series that I could say I hate. In truth, I have yet to find one that I don't even like.

I have two-and-a-half turkeys with ENT S1 so far. They are 'Unexpected', 'Terra Prime' and 'Acquisition'. The one all-around exceptionally GOOD (but not great) episode so far is 'Breaking the Ice.' The rest are varying degrees of entertaining-to-bland, or blandly-entertaining, which I suppose is good in that it's "not bad." 'Cold Front' and 'Fusion' I suppose are among the higher-functioning "blandly-entertainings." Maybe 'Silent Enemy' as well.

There are only two episodes so far I don't recall watching back in 2001. They are 'Silent Enemy' and 'Rogue Planet'. Doesn't (necessarily) mean I didn't see them before; I just don't remember them. My opinion about the rest (so far) is pretty much the same as it was. My attitude towards 'Dear Doctor' definitely hasn't changed.

If we're getting all particular then I don't actively hate any of the series individually..............but all the series have episodes I don't think hit the high notes and as each series progressed I found them to be less engaging as they went.

Personally I put that down to really not finding the sets of characters in VOY and ENT very interesting (really, echoing the copies of copies sentiment from a few pages back). The stories probably had elements of interest, I just never heavily cared about who they were happening to.

I'm not going to break it down into episodes though. That would take more effort than I'm willing to give this afternoon.

You know, I think that's it exactly. The characters just aren't as interesting. That, and the writing is formulaic.

Almost every other complaint I have against the last two series -whether it's the stilted dialogue, the drab lighting, the pastel-colored civilian wardrobes or the elevator music- also applies to DS9 and to some degree TNG as well. But we'll forgive it as long as the characters are interesting and the story is taking us someplace new.

I'm not listening to the podcast, however the article quotes him making some potentially-promising comments regarding his views for a next movie.

Guess we'll see.

I'm working on the assumption just now a third film would be wanted for 2016 to tie in with the 50th Anniversary so really there's a while before things would need to firm up planswise. But since a third hasn't been greenlit right now a third is still a question mark technically............though pretty likely.

I do hope they come up with an original story this time around and not base it on anything that came before. I mean, heck, Star Trek (2009) was original and wasn't based off of anything. Sure, some people see connections between that film and Nemesis, but nothing obvious.

First real interviews from them, post-movie, on how they came to the choices they did.

(That is, unless you happen to live in a country where the BluRay director's commentary is actually ON the BluRay. I don't.)

Klingons will be in the third movie guaranteed — the wars coming and its inevitable.

There's a commentary track?

Who got that if the US and UK releases don't? All I got was a half dozen featurettes that ran for an hour on my Blu Ray.
