Default Got bored....redid my build of the TMP Klingon battlecruiser...

For anyone who's interested, I got bored and decided to try and redo my K't'inga class Klingon battlecruiser that I first built in Blender, then assembled in iClone. Since I've gotten a little better at using UV maps in iClone, I wanted to try my hand at retexturing the battlecruiser from ST:TMP. (I also wanted to try and reduce the greebles where I could, and still maintain the appearance of a pretty convincing looking ship).

These first couple of shots are from my original build using rather generic textures

continued.....

And these are from my redux: Still not motion picture perfect, but a far cry better than what I did before.

Nice. Now to run that through a 3-D printer.

Thank you, both. This was a fun redo, if a bit tedious on the retexturing side because I was monkeying with UV maps.

And yes, LCARS, I would love to do a 3D print of this!

My next project will be redoing my refit Enterprise. And then I might do a video redo of my Enterprise vs Klingon battle that I did about a year ago.

Great work. I particularly like the closeup "look into the barrel" shot of the K't'inga.

Thank you, horatio! Most kind! Yeah, I was pretty happy with how the torpedo tubes turned out. I'm anxious to put this ship through its paces in an animation.
Of course, I would need slightly better materials than plastic before I could go raid the galaxy. (Phasers and photon torpedoes being what they are, and all that. )

That looks pretty good. I'm not sure I would have the patience for doing that!
