This could be the basis for thought controlled technology, to cite a fictional piece as an example: the Clint Eastwood film "Firefox".

@Omegaman: I've always had this idea in me 'ead about doing a crossover of Firefox and Airwolf, where squadrons of both were produced, meant to defend freedom loving countries against terrorist threats, and instead are called upon to protect Earth from invasion by an alien force. But since our nature of relationship continually is rocky with Russia, that idea seems to become a bit more distant.

The problem ist that it also works the other way around, technologically / externally controlled thoughts. This is one among many reasons why I am radically opposed to biotechnology.
