I don't really recall hearing anything to that effect, good Sam, but I would not be surprised.

Kevin, in my humble opinion, to date, The Clone Wars is the best thing to have happened for Star Wars in a long time, and is well worth the watch.
I eagerly await getting the next seasons on Blu-Ray. I think I am up to season three or four.

Now let's see how the MouseHouse works with Star Wars.

I liked The Clone Wars cartoon a lot more than I thought I would. It was pretty good. It had it's ups and downs like all shows do, but it was generally pretty good Star Wars. I think in a lot of ways it was better than the prequels.

I've caught a couple episodes of it here and there, and definitely liked it better than the prequels.

Same here, Clone Wars has been a pleasant surprise.
Although I like the prequels far more than most people I can see your point. But ignoring the quality of the three foreground stories, I think that Clone Wars clearly showed that the background of the prequels, the setup, the fictional historical timeframe or however you wanna call it was pretty good.

Before stories do but after stories do not work in mythology. A story set after the death of Anakin and the destruction of the Empire is like writing a Fourth Age story set in Middle-Earth. Not to mention that the rough outline is totally predictable, the Sith rise again somehow and threaten the New Republic.
And that's ignoring the fact that we already *know* everything that happens after Anakin dies.

Assuming Lucas' decision on 'canon' still holds.

There's really no room for new stories in the hundred years following the original trilogy. Anything they do will be similar to something that someone else wrote.

(All my knowledge comes from Wookiepedia: I have not read more than three official Star Wars novels. But from wookiepedia it seems like the Sith return every second year. Luke Skywalker even becomes the Sith apprentice to a clone of Darth Sidious at one point...)

It's just one of dozens of shows I still haven't had time to catch up on. Just takes a while to get to some of them.

Although regarding the 100 episodes thing.................my memory is scant but I seem to want to say that was relating to the proposed but never made live action series that was considered a few years ago.
