I wonder what Bloodwine is like. Is it made with blood? I don't think I would care for that. Romulan ale seems more my speed. Strong, but no blood.

I think it just refers to the color. Probably nothing more than a very strong red wine.

According to Memory Alpha it's fermented blood and sugar, though it has been seen in bottles with grapes on the front. Maybe like real wine you get different varieties? Can't say I'd fancy it though, don't mind a bit of black pudding but not sure I could down it in the pints!
