Default 3d Modeling attempt…

Spent a day and a half constructing the model using Adobe Illustrator to draw up the bits I needed then brought them into AC3D (Mac or Windows)( as background images and traced them.

Did not attempt recreate the Enterprise as we know her. Just attempted to get something similar, working out how to create, modify and assemble. Never made anything similar before so it was a learning process. Pretty happy with the result though.

Few lo-res screenshots attached.

Detailing and rendering the bloody thing will be a whole different matter!
