I dunno. I don't think the two scenes are related.

It is hard to tell for sure but although I'm of the feeling the ship RISING out of water is the E, the ship at the end of trailer looks different (but maybe intentionally similar). It has more slender nacelles and to my eyes it is not diving into the water cleanly. It looks like it enters the bay, impacts the basin and then starts to kind of skid across the bay towards the city, throwing up vast surges of water from the saucer.

To me it looks like a ship crashing.
