Well, the IMAX 9-minute preview will be debuted along with IMAX showing of "The Hobbit" and the first theatrical trailer will be debuted with standard showings of "The Hobbit" on December 14th...
Does anyone have any hope that we will see any changes to the main site here on or around that date? After all, startrekmovie.com began with the original "welding" teaser for ST2009...or will we be looking for an all new site for STID?

My fear for this place is that they'll start a new site with new boards for STID, then look at stm.com and say "Well, we don't need THIS anymore..." and pull the plug.
Or worse, they'll try to promote STID at startrek.com, and CBS will tell Paramount they no longer need this site for Star Trek...

Way I look at it is..........it's probably not in our hands.
I'd think something would maybe happen once the trailers get released though but maybe movie marketing has already moved beyond having a site with forums even since 2008. I don't know because I've never closely followed the websites of any other film apart from here.

I don't think there is going to be a new message board, or an update to this one. By the time these trailers come out, we're only six months away from the release. Looks like it's a smaller campaign this time around. Probably because they figure the reboot worked and people will go see this one without as much need for convincing.

The bottom of the just released teaser poster says "StarTrekMovie.com" (which of course is this site) and not startrek.com, so we may see new things here very soon!
