To some of us programming is more fun than playing--reveling in the joy of creating miracles, sweating the details step by step and wondering why GUI programmers can't be just as careful, all the while holding the business side of it in the highest contempt.
So how do you suppose the programmers (and artists) feel when something like this gets canceled? Sure, they got paid for their work, but seeing it thrown away is still awfully hard to take.
