Well, in that case, I'd go for a romantic story, like "the City on the edge of Forever."

I would never force anyone to like something that I like if they honestly don't like it. I mean, I would not change the kind of person I am and they would have to accept that I like it, but I would in no way force that upon anyone. But, a relationship should be understanding nonetheless.

A good choice, I'd just advise anyone planning something like this to avoid season 3!

I rant and rave and reference Star Trek all the time to my friends and students... The guys I am into have to enjoy/love Star Trek. They have to have seen most of the shows/movies otherwise they do not understand my motivations in life... so there. Good luck guys! :P

If I had a girlfriend, and wanted to get her into Star Trek....the 2009 movie would be my first choice to introduce her to the realm...and then start watching episodes if she's intrigued.

Hook her at the primal level...then go for the brains.

Good point! Yeah, a lot of people love Star Trek after seeing that film.

What was really weird after that film came out was hearing young women at my work talking about how they liked the movie, and by implication Star Trek. Prior to that I heard one young girl at my college say that she liked Star Wars but not Star Trek, because Star Wars was cool, but Star Trek was for nerds!
