Are you sure it's a matte painting on the far end? I would have thought it would have been easier and cheaper to simply put a mirror at the far end of the corridor, extending the set by 2X. They wouldn't have to worry about the reflections, since the curve of the hall would hide it.

Yeah I notice that everytime too. I suppose it can be described as a false top to the turbolifts, to prevent ensigns dropping down the turbno shaft and hitting the top of the turbolift. teehee

Cardassian interior design is nice, subtle lights, light carpet, dark arches, and those doors... Cardassian tower block anyone?

I think the blue lighting would be nice for the calm effect- but it might be annoying if you were looking for something. Or if you were trying to find someone- you can't see whats in front of you because of the curves. And there were always a million places to hide- even the sensors couldn't penetrate the conduits! A nightmare for security- given how paranoid the Cardassians are!

The DS9 corridors are cool, but I think the lighting (or lack thereof) would get old pretty quickly. I always liked the Voyager corridors (similar to the Ent-D, I suppose, but I like Voyager better). They`re well lit without being to bright, and nice and neutral. You dont really notice them.

This is true, but remember it was a Cardassian station so they weren't much into the light in the first place. I guess Starfleet was too lazy to change it to their standards. I mean, just look at the computers aboard the station. They were reprogramed for Starfleet yet were in the same style of the Cardassian computers.
