PROGRESS REPORT:
So, I'm happily typing the script along, writing up the next scenes...when a thought occurs to me....."DAMMIT! Now I have to build more ships!" Thankfully, it doesn't take me very long. ![]()

Story is at just over 30 minutes, and still progressing...
I'm just gonna hold off posting any more footage until the entire story is finished. At least it is over a half hour long, but I am hoping (but not holding my breath) that it could end up feature length (an hour or better). ![]()

Keep it short unless a considerable amount of events simply have to be in one particular episode. Don't test the audience patience unless you're sure it's worth testing.

I can agree completely with your warning, my friend. Under normal circumstances, I probably would heed that.
But in this case, I really wanted to set apart this story from the usual "franchise vs. franchise" fanboy induced geekgasm of starship combat. (Two ships from different franchises meet, and for whatever reason, they start firing on each other.....yawwn.) There's an actual story to this, and I always like to have a story behind my action...especially in this case. And worry not....the action has begun! I'm already putting pieces of the action together and it's coming along nicely. It ain't Disney Pixar or even Filmation, but if you liked what you saw earlier, hopefully you will love what is to come. ![]() You will also find that I sidestep the so-called "law of starship combat" where someone declared that "If it didn't happen on screen, it didn't happen!" I call b.s. on that particular bit of fanboy code, because I go by the official Lucasfilm Archives, (pardon my vagueness here...I don't want to make spoilers ) which state that an Imperial Star Destroyer contains certain kinds of weaponry that has effects of a specific nature. All we've seen before on screen are just capital ships slugging it out with turbolasers. Well, a Star Destroyer possesses more than that, and being someone who likes using everything at my disposal, well....here we go. But don't worry, I've found ways to balance out the scenario to make this something that won't turn into a punk-out. At least the Star Destroyer has official references to go by. Sadly, the Galactica does not, so I have to fudge things a bit.

I prefer on screen evidence to the "Manuals of Ridiculous Contradicting Figures" that I've seen published. I've read a good amount of stories where some of these figures were used against Trek and the writing is so skewered in the direction of the writers favorite I've often regretted reading the ending. I am hoping this doesn't prove to be a characteristic of all vs. stories
