Well, you guys on the other side of the big pond might be more advanced that we are but over here these kind of people are ordinary people, often well educated, decently dressed and if not liked at least tolerated by many people.

Anyway, I was just surprised that a guy who is accused of murder can quickly raise so much bail money in a country which sometimes and somewhere punishes murder by execution. Not that he doesn't deserve to get a good lawyer, even the foulest criminal does, but being out on bail is just a luxury.

It is some interesting circumstances, Horatio. I guess the reason that bail came so easily for him is that the case is not very cut and dry...not very clear. Can't really hold a person on a lot of ambiguity, but you can certainly keep him/her accessible. As part of his bail condition, he has to wear a GPS tracker where he can be located electronically at all times.

No, we are certainly not more advanced. We have racists and scumbags of all types here too.

Indeed. Racists exist here in every race, color, and creed.

I definitely think it is great if people care for their brothers and sisters, no matter what they (might) have done. After all we have all read Kafka and know how nasty being captured in the mills of justice while being all on your own can be.
