Shame. Has it been damaged on purpose or has something heavy been dropped on it?

Somehow the first thing that popped up in my head was that it was done on purpose as a joke. But who knows, it could have been an accident. It's just a little ironic how the comedian most famous for his "no respect" slogan ended up having that done to his star.

I would imagine that is just a wear and tear sort of thing, not intentional.

Maybe, but the hole looks gouged as if a brick was dropped edgewise onto it. It's at least an inch deep.

Could have been a disgruntled non-fan, could have been some sort of accident.
