Thanks for the interest.

Well, the VOY colors are familiar enough, INS emphasized browns, and for NEM it was blues. About functionality, one thing is the common LCARS panels, consisting mostly of buttons but with vertical dividers with large black squares near the right.

Here, on the LCARS 24 Options menu, each black square acts like a period at the end of a sentence, a mark to denote the end of a section. But also, when a button is pressed it disappears and is replaced by an alternative to that option, in which case the key label of what was chosen and is no longer visible is displayed in 14-point black font to replace the black square to notify you of what you chose. The button to the right of that shows the content of your selection. Then, if you cancel that by choosing what’s already active, the display goes back to how it was, including the black square. So the interface does make sense when you’re using this menu. We haven’t seen it on screen, but I assume that's partially how those panels are supposed to work.

Oh. Endgame mode just means making the LCARS colors like those from the future in VOY: Endgame. Here's the standby screen showing the VOY, INS, and NEM themes, plus the VOY theme in Endgame mode.

Another, more obvious, case of giving meaning not seen on-screen is just having the inline digits of buttons represent key labels, which seems so natural when you see it that it's easy to forget that in Trek they just looked like random digits. In the case of brackets, as in the screens shown above, they are divided into boxes, and each one has a key label so the user knows what key to press to activate something.

Probably not cyan, as in #00FFFF, but shades of cyan in TCARS and maybe one shade on the Prometheus bridge displays and some Endgame displays.

I like the Relativity but it's not a particularly nice profile.

I never posted this before, and it may be of interest to some. Like Windows, etc., LCARS 24 has all sorts of miscellaneous system utilities and displays. When set to Endgame mode, where the color scheme is like that of future LCARS seen in VOY: Endgame, the system color display, instead of showing the standard DS9/VOY colors and their hex codes, looks like this. And Endgame mode also has this kind of effect on the regular selectable color schemes (VOY, INS, NEM), creating two schemes for the full-screen clock screen never seen on Trek (a wild version of the INS scheme and a wild version of the NEM scheme, not necessarily pleasing to the eye).

I noticed that I never posted this here before. It's kind of old news, now. It's been in the LCARS 24 library as part of that software package, as well as on my Web site and at Cygnus for a couple of years now. Anyway, it's the Voyager Aeroshuttle. There was actually a CGI video clip made of this thing being launched from the underside of Voyager, but Paramount never bought and used it.
