Ugh. Really? Was the temptation for Khan just too much J.J??

Carbonell is 44 or whatever, a good 10+ years older then Pine. One of the key dynamics of STII and I think commonly overlooked was the age factor.

Granted, this will be a flick with little depth, and it is a reboot, but the aging captain vs. the aging abandoned superhuman was a big dynamic in their interaction.

Some guy almost 15 years older is gonna be #@$%.

I'm unhappy.

Benicio Del Toro and Carbonell are exactly 13 years older than Pine.
