Were it to be him, they would have to be very careful about how to manage it.

Of course this does not have to be a problem if they rewrite the story like in the case of Pike, if the first contact between Kirk and Khan runs differently or if somebody else discoveres the Botany Bay. I nonethless think that choosing a TOS character who is not part of a story already told until the end might be a better choice. All the thrill of Space Seed would be gone, you'd know that Khan is the baddie.

I think a reconception or reinterpretation of the story involving him would have to be the case.

I totally agree though that Klingons is the closest bet. Judging the future based on the last movie where they messed up their Khan copy but created fantastic Klingons this sounds promising. Kirk vs. one of the three big Ks, why not.

I have a feeling that we'll be seeing Klingons in the next movie. The Khan idea just seems like something to throw people off.

Interesting. I could see him in a variety of roles, he is quite a capable actor in my estimation. I sure hope the script matches that talent. Bana was a one-trick pony in ST09.

Klingon? For some reason, i'm having a hardest time picturing him as one. Not sure why, I can see him as alnost any other baddy.

If they look like TOS Klingons, I can picture it easily. Not sure how he'd be with ridges.
