I think the U.S.S Voyager model had little images inserted into it to mimic interior sets on some of the larger windows that it had so that early on you could 'see' inside the ship as the model flew past.

I do remember that VOY ep where they started at the front of the ship and went through it and then did the pull out at the back of the ship. Think it was a sixth season episode somewhere.

I still think it's also 'meant' to be trees that you see in the big blue windows on the bottom of the secondary hull on the U.S.S Enterprise model in TMP in the final shot before she goes to Warp, as I think that was meant to be the arboretum (did I spell that right?.............)

*The word "dabo" means "I will give" in Latin, and "Gold" in Aramaic.

Horatio, I think the one shot you refer to with Picard in it is actually from "Encounter At Farpoint" when we first meet Jean-Luc Picard. That shot is outside the conference lounge at the back of the bridge.

I think the shot you're thinking of is the pull away shot of Picard (possibly end of BoBW Pt II) where we leave Picard in his ready room...the window there is rectangular.
