Those boots don't look comfortable for walking long distances. They have no support. How could the Romulans walk around on a 15-mile long spaceship continuously in those things?

Maybe that's what all the water is for… to help cushion their feet!

the boots aren't waterproof. There are openings about 3 inches up so if you are wading in water about a foot or two deep, it will get in.
