Awww, that's the same one that was posted earlier.

It was nicely done effects-wise.

Both ships look good.
I can appreciate the video if it's all done in good fun. But if it's the result of fanwankery...well...

I thought it was cute. Definately a fun little jab for the undedogs.

Isn't that in of itself amazing? That TOS has become the underdog to NuTrek? JJ is a steamroller, and the next movie I imagine will be as big, and as mediocre. (story-wise)

I'll pay my bucks and see it though, it was fun, (NuTrek) I cannot deny that.

TOS is not the underdog. STNV/P2 is the underdog.

But that's not the joke. "Timeline restored" to characters who look nothing like the originals? That's the joke. Whether they intended it to be or not.

Indeed.

Different actors playing familiar characters...in BOTH shows. LOL!

Personally, I like STNV/PII. Sure, the acting's sub par (in most cases - especially James Cawley), I can deal with that, but the stories are good and the sets and CGI are absolutely fantastic! I love seeing new episodes of TOS. Even if the actors don't look much like the originals, they still portray their characters closer to the originals than the newbies did in jj-trek (except for Karl Urban of course) So far, my favorite episode is "World Enough And Time" starring George Takei as Sulu. Followed closely by "To Serve All My Days" starring Walter Koenig as Chekov. For me, nothing..especially jj-trek...beats good ol' Star Trek The Original Series!!! I think it's great that somebody took the initiative to produce top quality continuation episodes of what may possibly be the greatest sci-fi adventure ever undertaken. Abrams should have taken a similar route, in my opinion. I commend them on their fantastic work and look forward to new episodes as they are completed.

Both episodes you mentioned are also my favorites, Zim.

Cawley's getting better.

Now if they could find a decent Spock they'd be ok. That first one was the best they've had as far as acting. The 2nd one was too goofy looking. This new one looks like he needs an astringent, and he has no shoulders.
