Default Joseph Gordon-Levitt will appear in The Dark Knight Rises

hmm… there are certain similarities between Levitt and Ledger… I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Joker is back in some way or another… Levitt could pull it off. Maybe as the brother of the Joker who adopts his persona?

How about Dick Grayson/Robin?

Maybe… But I see Robin as millstone for the Batman Franchise if he's introduced. The Batman works better as the sole focus of these films.

I think Nolan once said that Robin essentially had no place in 'his' take on the Batman Universe............of course that might have changed.

Not really a Levitt fan though.

I believe he has said that there won't be a Joker in this film, and that there won't ever be a Robin in his films

My boss at work thought he could pull off being Robin, but to be honest, I don't think this version of Batman needs a Robin. It is much more personal and the audience needs to focus on Batman and his reasons with trying to prove to Gotham that is he a good guy and not someone to be hated. Having Robin would take away the focus from Batman and probably make it a little pretentious. I was thinking that maybe he could play the son of Ra's al Ghul.

I heard his character is involved with illegal aliens alongside John Lithgow and French Stewart.
