Default X-Men Comic Books

Hey all,

I've been a fairly big X-Men fan since I was a little fella, having watched the X-Men cartoon of the early 90's with my dad way back in the day. I tried a few times over the years to get back into it, but now I think my best option is to start reading the comics themselves. If any of you guys are into the comics, would you mind helping me decide which X-men comic book to begin reading? I'm of particular bias towards the Jim Lee era of the early 90's, since it inspired so much of the cartoon, but really, anywhere that you guys think would be a good starting point for a beginner just getting into comics. Thanks!
