Since no one has created it here it is. I'll just begin by saying the manual itself provided absolutely no new enlightenment at all. It was the same recycled tech info from years ago they just decided to throw in a few fancy cutaway images that only dazzled the reader without provindng any real insight. I had hopes and they were promptly shot down.

Is it like those Jackill tech manuals? Fanboy based material that has no basis in canon whatsoever?

Nope it was authored in part but the Okuda's the only problem is it's one of those "beginner" type manuals that doesn't tell you anything new. I wish it would have shown me every friggin inch of the original Enterprise but it sadly didn't even come close. The Abramsprise only got a mention and a use of the first image the whole world saw in an "alternative timeline" page. It has cutaways of the TOS shuttle and a photon torpedo. It's a decent book but it's not awe inspiring or life changing. These days disappointment outguns being impressed by a longshot.
