I had actually at one point wondered if it might have been as a result of some sort of atmosphere within the Narada. There seemed to be air that was breathable inside that giant open structure within it.

But that might have been a loopy idea - I'm not suggesting it rained inside the ship..............but something like atmospheric moisture gathering and pooling in certain parts.

Anyway, it's not overly relevant to the main story.
