I need a case with doors because my cat will bat everything off any shelf that she can reach. Doors will keep her out. This is why any "battable" stuff is on the TOP of the bookcase where she can't reach. She particularly likes the action figures (some of the older ones are out of their boxes and displayed on their bases) because she knows it annoys the crap out of me when she tips them off the shelf.

She's a terrible cat but utterly adorable.

My wife made me buy a bookshelf to put all my Star Trek stuff on so I would quit scattering it all over the house. When I put the shelf together, I put the back panel on wrong and when you look at the shelf you see the plain brown side of the cardboard instead of the shiny black part. So instead of trying to take all those tiny nails out of the back and flip the backing over, I used Star Trek posters to cover the back panels. It turned out pretty good. Now all my Trek model ships and stuff have a Trek backdrop.
