Aren't most studios trying to create franchises these days? It seems to be the model of most Hollywood films. Pump out at least a trilogy if not more and build on the story with books, video games, ect. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Tron has a lot of potential to be a good series of films though. The first one just scratched the surface story wise and blow open the door special effects wise. I'm glad this film isn't a remake (the other Hollywood trend) and I'm sure if this film is successful there will be another sequel in far less then 28 years. I just hope they will both be quality and then I'm all for it.

That's a fact.

I'm kinda becoming easy-osey about it at the moment. Watching the trailer a few times my interest is waning again.

But then..................come December I'll also end up going to see it.

The Tron guys are supposed to have been asked to do one. Don't know when it may appear though.
