The composite effects were stunning. This episode was made in the wake of Forrest Gump, which did the whole "let's composite Tom Hanks in real historical footage" thing. In this episode, it was practically seamless.

Television effects are so blurring the line between small screen and big screen FX.
I think that even the length of the episode was almost spot on. Any longer and it would have had to exceed the length of the "original" episode. The inter-spaced timing of the "new" scenes was great. The overlapping and composite scenes were terrific. Yes, and YES again about Dax!Those "dated" uniforms did have that certain element of 60's sexy about them.
