Las Vegas Hilton Aug 5-8
Anyone going to the Trek show in Vegas? I am so stoked that Sir Patrick Stewart will be there! Its a good lineup this year for sure.

No, I'm afraid not.
I visited the LV Hilton four years ago when The Experience was there but that was all.

Personally, I wouldn't pay that kinda money for him. If that's what he's charging.

$199, due to "limited" availability. I'm sure he'll be able to get away with it. But for the same price you can get a pic each with Shatner and Nimoy. Has Patrick become the new rockstar of Trek, if he can get away with charging more for a photo-op than Shatner or Nimoy, at a convention featuring all three? Patrick, no doubt, is in bigger demand as an actor, but this is a Trek convention.

I guess the pricing structure would seem to indicate so.
However, I think that's certainly pushing (exceeding) a reasonable limit. Since many people will have spent money travelling to and maybe also staying in LV those kinds of charges on top soon add up.

Well Im back from the show and it was a hoot! Creation is a terrible outfit but they do bring the noise. I bumped into Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Leonard Nimoy, Bill Shatner, Robert Picardo and Michael Dorn. I love being there just being submersed up to my eyeballs in Trek.
