Tomorrow, at 10am I'm going to bike it to Malibu with my friend for the second time. Man, Santa Monica to Malibu isn't all that far at all. You'd be surprised how fast 22 miles can be. My goal is to do this once every month. How far have you gone on your bike?

22 miles without ups and downs sounds fine, especially when you can lay at the beach after the tour.
I think that something around 50km with a few hundred meters elevation difference was the roughest I ever did, once in Corse and a few times in the area in which I grew up. But it's no fun when you arrive at the top and feel like a piece of crap whereas your bikemaniac colleague is still fresh .

I've been sent 'on my bike' but I'm not a cyclist. Unless it's bolted to a floor in a gym.

I have always got around with my bike as teenager and student ... but once you have a car you become a lazy f**k. (By the way, I hate this 'filter out bad words' algorithm. )

I know - cars are awesome!! Love to the environment and all, but I'm never giving mine up!!

(even if I do use it less these days because it can be cheaper to travel different ways)

My wife just did 72 miles a couple of weeks ago (to the beach and back) and just did 46 this past weekend. She has a Cannondale Super Six and loves to ride that thing.
