Thanks, NCC. I'll check that as soon as I can.

I did hear an insightful talk from Col. Aldrin this morning on the radio, which seemed to explain much.

Pads 39 A and B to be refurbished, with nothing to launch???

Much of the Shuttle employees to be kept, even if there is no Shuttle to fly??

Sounds like political porkbarreling at worst, when no money is saved, yet no flying is done.

It would be great if the ESA's ATV (which is human rated) would be transformed into a ARV quickly... I think it's time for ESA to have a manned spacecraft

Agreed, but think of how difficult the selection process would be.
