Maybe, as part of a plot secondary to a primary one. It's a good idea, a very good idea, but I think it'd be weak standing on it's own.

IDK. From that moment on Kirk would never hit on another "alien" female life form.
(Remember, I believe it was determined that the creature was returning "home" to reproduce.)
It would ruin a great running gag about Kirk!
